This course will focus on the knowledge and skills necessary for supporting students with various behaviors in all learning environments, using the framework of positive behavioral supports and the Dignity Model. Candidates will gain knowledge of the basic assumptions about the context, function, and role of behavior. Candidates will learn to apply the Dignity Model and use a variety of positive intervention techniques to address behavior, support learning, maintain the attention of students and to engage learners in the educational process.
